Free AI Tools That Work Right in Your Browser
ToolGen AI is a small collection of genuinely useful online tools: turn a sentence into an AI-generated image, remove a photo background with one click, shrink heavy images before you share them, compress a photo to an exact KB limit for official forms, turn a set of images into one clean PDF, create QR codes, count words and build strong passwords. Most tools run entirely on your own device, so your files stay private — and everything is free, with no account and no downloads.
- No sign-up or login
- Private by design — local tools never upload your files
- Works on phone, tablet and desktop

1 AI Image Generator
What is it?
The AI Image Generator turns a written description — a "prompt" — into a brand-new picture. Type what you imagine, pick a shape, and the generator paints an original image for you: illustrations for a blog post, concept art for a project, a profile banner, product mock-up ideas, or just something fun to share. Every image is generated on demand, so the picture you get is unique to your prompt.
How to use it
Write a clear description in the box above. Specific prompts work best: mention the subject, the setting, the style (photo, watercolour, 3D render, flat illustration) and the mood or lighting. Choose square, portrait or landscape, then press Generate image. If you like the composition but want a different take on it, press New variation to re-roll the same prompt with a new random seed. When you are happy, download the image and use it wherever you need it.
2 AI Background Remover
Drop an image here or click to choose a file
JPG or PNG. Your image is processed on your device — it is never uploaded.
On first use the AI model (about 40 MB) downloads once; after that, background removal runs entirely on your device.
What is it?
The Background Remover uses an AI model that understands what a photo is about — a person, a product, a pet — and separates that subject from everything behind it. The result is a clean cut-out with a transparent background, saved as a PNG. It is the same job designers used to do by hand with selection tools, done automatically in a few seconds.
How to use it
Drop a photo into the box above (or click to browse). Portraits, product shots and single-subject photos give the cleanest edges. Wait while the model processes the image — the first run takes longer because the model itself downloads once. Preview the cut-out on the checkerboard (that pattern means "transparent"), then download the PNG and drop it onto presentations, shop listings, thumbnails or designs of your own.
3 Image Compressor
What is it?
Modern phone cameras produce beautiful photos that are often 4–10 MB each — too heavy for email attachments, web uploads and messaging apps with size limits. The Image Compressor re-encodes your picture at a sensible size and quality so the file shrinks dramatically (often by 70–90%) while still looking sharp on screens. You see exactly how much you saved before downloading.
How to use it
Choose an image, then set the quality slider (80% is a good balance), a maximum width if you also want to resize, and a format — JPEG for maximum compatibility, WebP for even smaller files on the modern web. Press Compress image, compare the before/after sizes shown above, preview the result and download it. Nothing leaves your device.
4 QR Code Generator
What is it?
A QR code is a square barcode that phones can scan with their camera to open a link or read a piece of text instantly — no typing required. Businesses put them on posters, menus, packaging and business cards; individuals use them for Wi-Fi details, payment links, event pages and portfolios. This generator creates a crisp, high-resolution QR code image you can print or share anywhere.
How to use it
Paste a link (starting with https://) or type any text, choose a size — bigger is better for printing — and press Generate QR code. Test it once with your own phone to make sure it scans to the right place, then download the PNG. Shorter links make simpler codes that scan more reliably, especially when printed small.
5 Word Counter
What is it?
Whether you are a student with a 1,500-word essay limit, a writer drafting a chapter, or a marketer fitting copy into a tight space, knowing your counts matters. The Word Counter analyses your text as you type and shows word, character (with and without spaces), sentence and paragraph counts, plus an estimated reading time based on an average adult reading speed of about 200 words per minute.
How to use it
Simply paste or type into the box — everything updates live, and nothing is sent anywhere. Use the character counts for social media posts and application forms with strict limits, the sentence and paragraph counts to check that long writing stays readable, and the reading time to estimate how long a speech, script or article will take an audience to get through.
6 Password Generator
Strength: —
What is it?
Reused and predictable passwords are the most common way accounts get broken into. This generator creates genuinely random passwords using your browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator — not a pattern a computer could guess. A long, random password that you store in a password manager is far stronger than a short, memorable one you reuse across sites.
How to use it
Set the length (16 or more is a good default) and choose which character types to include, then press Generate and Copy. The strength label gives a rough guide based on length and variety. Save the password in a reputable password manager rather than trying to memorise it, and never reuse the same password on two different accounts. Passwords are created on your device and are never transmitted or stored by this site.
7 Image Compressor to Exact KB
Drop an image here or click to choose a file
JPG or PNG. Compression happens on your device — your image is never uploaded.
Target size
Perfect for job applications, visa forms and exam registrations that demand a photo under an exact KB limit.
What is it?
Plenty of online forms do not just want a photo — they want a photo that fits under a strict file-size limit. Job application portals, visa and passport forms, exam registrations and government websites commonly demand an image of at most 50 KB, 100 KB or 200 KB, and reject anything larger without explaining how to fix it. This tool compresses an image to an exact KB target for you: tell it the limit, and it automatically fine-tunes quality and dimensions until the file lands just under that size — as close to the limit, and therefore as sharp, as possible. It is the quickest way to compress an image to 50KB, 100KB or any other size online, free, with no software to install.
How to use it
Drop in your photo, tap a preset chip — 20, 50, 100, 200 or 500 KB — or type your own target, then press Compress to target. The tool tests a series of quality and size combinations right on your device, shows each attempt in the status line, and stops at the best result that fits your limit. Download the finished JPEG and upload it to your form. If a target is unrealistically small for a large, detailed photo, the tool will tell you honestly rather than hand you a ruined image; raising the target slightly, or cropping the photo first, will usually fix it. Your image is processed locally and never leaves your device.
8 Image to PDF
Drop images here or click to choose files
Add as many JPG or PNG images as you like. Everything is converted on your device — nothing is uploaded.
Each image becomes its own page, in the order shown in the list above.
Download PDFWhat is it?
The Image to PDF converter turns one or more JPG, PNG and other images into a single, tidy PDF document — the format that application portals, offices and email almost always ask for. It is ideal for scanned documents, certificates, receipts, ID photos, signed forms and photographs of homework or whiteboards: instead of sending five separate image files, you send one professional PDF with each image on its own page, in your chosen order. Use it to convert JPG to PDF or PNG to PDF online, free, with no sign-up and no watermark added.
How to use it
Drop your images into the box above, or click to browse — you can add more images at any time, and remove any file you added by mistake with its Remove button. The order of the list is the order of the pages in the PDF. Choose a page size: A4 or Letter if the document will be printed, with each image centred on the page inside clean margins, or Fit to image to make every page exactly the size of its picture with no margins at all — the best choice for scans and screenshots. Page orientation follows each image automatically. Press Create PDF and download your file. The whole conversion happens in your browser, so even sensitive documents never leave your device.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the tools on ToolGen AI really free?
Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use, with no trial period and no premium tier. The site is supported by advertising, which lets us keep the tools free for everyone.
Do I need to create an account or sign up?
No. There are no accounts on ToolGen AI. Open the page, pick a tool and use it — that is all there is to it.
Are my files uploaded to your servers?
For the Background Remover, Image Compressor, Exact-KB Compressor, Image to PDF Converter, QR Code Generator, Word Counter and Password Generator: no. These tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript, so your images, text and passwords never leave your device. The AI Image Generator is the one exception — your written prompt is sent to a third-party image generation service which creates the picture and returns it to you. Never type personal or confidential information into an image prompt.
Why does the Background Remover take a while the first time?
The background removal AI model (about 40 MB) downloads to your browser the first time you use the tool. After that it is cached, and removal is fast — and because the model runs on your device, your photos stay private instead of being uploaded to a server.
Can I use the images I generate commercially?
Images from the AI Image Generator are created for you on demand, and in most cases you may use them in personal and commercial projects such as blogs, social media and products. However, AI-generated imagery can occasionally resemble existing artwork, trademarks or real people; you are responsible for checking that your use is appropriate and lawful in your situation, particularly for trademarks and recognisable likenesses. This answer is general information, not legal advice.
Is there a limit on how much I can use the tools?
The local tools (both compressors, image to PDF, QR generator, word counter, password generator, background remover) have no practical limits — they use your own device's processing power. The AI Image Generator depends on a third-party service, so during very busy periods generation may be slower or occasionally unavailable; simply try again after a short wait.
Do the tools work on mobile phones?
Yes. ToolGen AI is designed mobile-first and works in modern browsers on Android and iPhone as well as on desktop. The Background Remover's AI model may take longer to download on a slow mobile connection the first time you use it.
How is this site funded if everything is free?
Through advertising. We may display ads served by Google AdSense and similar networks. Ads never interfere with the local tools' promise: your files and text are still processed only on your own device.
How do I compress an image to exactly 50 KB or 100 KB for an application form?
Use the Image Compressor to Exact KB. Many job application portals, visa forms and exam registrations reject any upload over a fixed limit such as 50 KB, 100 KB or 200 KB. Tap the preset that matches your form — or type a custom target — and the tool automatically searches through quality and image-size combinations until the JPEG lands at or under your target, as close to it as possible. Then download the result and upload it to the form.
Are my images uploaded when I convert them to PDF or compress them to an exact size?
No. The Image to PDF converter and both image compressors run entirely in your browser. Your images are read, processed and saved on your own device — they are never sent to our servers or anywhere else. That makes these tools a safe choice for personal documents such as ID scans, certificates, signed forms and application photos.
About ToolGen AI
ToolGen AI started with a simple observation: many everyday digital tasks — cutting out a photo background, shrinking a huge image, making a QR code, checking a word count — still send people to cluttered websites full of pop-ups, forced sign-ups and "free" tools that upload your private files to unknown servers. We believed those tasks should be instant, private and genuinely free.
So we built this site around a privacy-first idea: whenever a job can be done inside your browser, it is. Modern browsers are powerful enough to run real AI models and image processing locally, and ToolGen AI takes full advantage of that. The only tool that talks to an outside service is the AI Image Generator, because creating an image from text requires far more computing power than a phone or laptop can offer — and even there, only your prompt text is sent, never your files. Whether you are a student, a small business owner, a content creator or just someone who needs one quick job done, our goal is the same: open the page, do the task, get on with your day.

Overview
ToolGen AI ("we", "the site") provides browser-based tools. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site. Our guiding principle is data minimisation: most tools are engineered so that your content never reaches us at all.
Local tools — no uploads
The Background Remover, Image Compressor, Exact-KB Compressor, Image to PDF Converter, QR Code Generator, Word Counter and Password Generator run entirely in your web browser. Files you open, text you type and passwords you generate are processed on your device only. They are not uploaded to, stored on, or visible to our servers, and we have no technical ability to view them.
AI Image Generator — third-party processing
When you use the AI Image Generator, the text prompt you enter is transmitted over the internet to a third-party image generation service (Pollinations), which generates the image and returns it to your browser. That service processes your prompt under its own terms and privacy practices. Please do not include personal data, confidential information or anything that identifies a real person in your prompts.
Cookies and advertising
This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings page, and you can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies will not affect how the tools themselves work.
Analytics and server logs
Our hosting provider may record standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and operational purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not operate user accounts, so we hold no profiles, passwords or uploaded content for our visitors.
Children
This site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version will always be published on this page. Questions about this policy can be sent to the address listed in the Contact section below.
Terms of Use
By using ToolGen AI you agree to the following terms. The tools are provided free of charge and "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We work to keep the tools accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and the third-party image generation service may be unavailable at times.
You are responsible for how you use the content you create with these tools. In particular, you must not use the site to create or process content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive or harmful, and you must respect the intellectual property and privacy rights of others. AI-generated images may incidentally resemble existing works or real people; verifying suitability for your intended use is your responsibility.
Nothing on this site constitutes professional, legal or security advice. Password strength labels are rough guidance only. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any tool at any time without notice. These terms may be updated from time to time, and continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the current version.
